Michael and his team offer expertise in a range of consultation and research techniques, from comprehensive community engagement expertise to large-scale business-to-business research.
With 20 years experience of research for major UK public and private sectors clients, including BIS, Ramsay Health Care, the Central Office of Information (COI), O2, Nature Publishing Group, Leeds City Council and many others, Michael is ideally placed to advise on the successful implementation of a wide range of quantitative methodologies and approaches.
Michael now oversees the management and delivery of both ad hoc and continuous research, drawing on his wide range of experience.
This work provides his clients with robust data on topics as varied as health, skills needs, corporate priorities, quality of life, usage & attitudes towards local services, transport, regeneration, waste & recycling and adult care.
Before moving to Qa, Michael specialised in customer satisfaction, usage and attitude studies, brand and advertising tracking and new product development research for private sector clients.
This phase of his career saw Michael developing a keen interest in the multivariate techniques which add depth to quantitative research findings, including regression and conjoint analysis. “At heart I’m a quant specialist, looking for the answers behind the answers,” he says.
Michael graduated from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne with a BSc in Geography and is a Certified member of the MRS.
