Hannah Penrose
Senior Research Executive
Hannah joined Qa as a Research Executive in June 2023 to pursue a career in Social Research. The ability to initiate change and have a positive impact, particularly on those regarded as disadvantaged, is the reason behind her passion for doing research. This enthusiasm was first recognised through her sociological and criminological background where she saw the ability to contribute towards tackling inequalities.
Hannah has a BA (Hons) in Sociology with Criminology from The University of Sheffield, and an MA in Social Research (Economic and Social Research Council accredited) also from The University of Sheffield. She has a versatile range or qualitative, quantitative and mixed method research skills, along with extensive knowledge on the theoretical foundations of social research.
Hannah has volunteered helping as a fundraising researcher for a local youth housing charity and has completed numerous research projects with sensitive groups, thus has a strong background working with vulnerable people. This is where her research interests lie.
