Tourism Industry Spending Cuts Research Report
Friday, 17 December 2010 10:50
We’ve just finished conducting a national tourism business survey, in conjunction with the Tourism Network, to find out the views of the industry on the public sector cuts. 700 tourism businesses and organisations from around the country told us their concerns and the challenges they face.
The results show deep concern about the potential effect of the public sector cuts on their business and the tourism industry as a whole. The cuts are far more of a concern than other potential challenges such as increasing vat, low consumer confidence and over reliance on discounting and offers.
The report also gives a number of pointers to the assistance and support tourism businesses need to help them overcome these challenges and how this support should be delivered for the greatest impact.
The full report can be downloaded from our downloads section......
If you have any questions or would like to talk over the results please call either Kathrin Tennstedt or Nick How at Qa Research on 01904 632039.
